How cancelling, refunds and missed payments work for a Faro POS subscription.
1. In short
- There is no general money-back guarantee.
- Monthly subscriptions: cancel any time; you keep access to the end of the month you have paid for. The month in progress is not refunded.
- Annual subscriptions: cancel by request, and the unused portion of the year you paid for is refunded through Paddle.
- Paddle, our merchant of record, issues every refund for an online purchase.
2. Monthly subscriptions
You can cancel a monthly subscription at any time from the Billing page of the owner portal. Your access continues until the end of the month you have already paid for, and the subscription is not renewed after that.
We do not refund the month in progress, or any earlier month, unless the law requires us to.
When a subscription ends, your records stay on your counter PC — nothing is deleted. The software becomes read-only.
3. Annual subscriptions
You can ask to cancel an annual subscription from the Billing page of the owner portal. When you do, we refund the unused portion of the year you have paid for, through Paddle.
Decision needed: How a partly used month counts towards the unused portion. The three options are: (a) whole unused months only, with the month in progress treated as used; (b) the exact number of unused days; or (c) the unused time rounded to the nearest whole month.
Decision needed: Whether the refund also returns the sales tax or VAT that Paddle collected on the refunded part.
Decision needed: When an annual cancellation takes effect — on the date you ask, or at the end of the current billing month — and therefore the date from which the unused portion is counted and on which access ends.
4. The free trial
New subscriptions bought online start with a one-month free trial. Nothing is charged during the trial.
Decision needed: Whether starting the trial requires a payment method, and so what happens when the trial ends: either Paddle takes the first payment automatically at the end of the trial unless you cancel before then, or you add a payment method yourself before the trial ends. This section will say which once it is decided.
5. Missed payments
If a renewal payment fails, we tell you by email and with a notice, and you have 7 days to update your payment method in the owner portal. If the payment is still outstanding after 7 days, operational access is put on hold. Your data is kept — nothing is deleted — and access is restored automatically as soon as the payment goes through.
Decision needed: On which days within the 7 days payment reminders are sent. Until this is confirmed, the system sends them on days 3 and 6.
6. Who issues refunds
Subscriptions bought online are sold by Paddle.com, our online reseller and the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns, so every refund for an online purchase is issued by Paddle. You can ask Paddle or us; we will pass your request on.
Payment details are entered only on Paddle’s secure pages. We never see or store your card details.
7. What is not refundable by us
- WhatsApp message charges — Meta bills your own WhatsApp Business account directly; we never receive that money.
- Hardware — we do not sell it.
8. How to ask
Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled directly from the Billing page of the owner portal. For an annual cancellation, a refund question or anything else, use the Billing page or email support@jenixlabs.com with your shop name, the email address you signed up with and the payment you are asking about. We will answer within 5 working days.
Decision needed: Confirm the response time promised above (5 working days is a placeholder).
